Some food for thought: Last year, the Eagles got out to a hot start, but lost their starting QB to a season-ending injury. Despite this, led by a strong defense and good play from their backup QB, they went on to prove the doubters wrong and continued to beat teams nobody expected them to beat in the playoffs. They eventually went on to win the Super Bowl despite many still doubting them. This year, the Redskins have gotten off to the hot start, but then lost their starting QB to a season-ending injury. The Redskins have a very strong defense this year, too. Could we see a repeat of what happened last year?

Four years ago today, Odell Beckham became the first person to ever make a one-handed catch. Just ask ESPN.

Still don’t know what to make of the whole Reuben Foster saga... if he can get his life back in order then he’s still young and has potential so it could end up being a great pickup for us. However that seems unlikely and it’s been a huge PR disaster and not a good look for the NFL (with the idiots running our team only making things worse tenfold by taking turns throwing each other under the bus regarding whose idea it was to pick him up) especially when you have the whole you-know-what situation lingering in the background. I’m glad they immediately suspended him indefinitely and if he never plays a down for us then there’s a good reason why. I actually think Goodell has done everything right here so far (which is a far cry from the Ray Rice disaster a few years back).

My playoff predictions (as of right now):
AFC: 1. Kansas City (14-2), West champions 2. New England (12-4), East champions 3. Houston (12-4), South champions 4. Baltimore (9-7), North champions 5. Los Angeles (12-4), wild card 6. Miami (10-6), wild card
Other contenders: Indianapolis (9-7), Tennessee (9-7), Pittsburgh (8-7-1), Denver (8-8)
NFC: 1. New Orleans (14-2), South champions 2. Los Angeles (14-2), West champions 3. Chicago (12-4), North champions 4. Dallas (11-5), East champions 5. Seattle (10-6), wild card 6. Minnesota (7-8-1), wild card
Other contenders: Green Bay (7-8-1), Philadelphia (7-9), Washington (7-9), Carolina (7-9), Detroit (6-10), Tampa Bay (6-10)
Wild-card round: Miami @ Houston: Houston Los Angeles @ Baltimore: Baltimore Minnesota @ Chicago: Chicago Seattle @ Dallas: Seattle
Divisional round: Baltimore @ Kansas City: Kansas City Houston @ New England: New England Seattle @ New Orleans: New Orleans Chicago @ Los Angeles: Chicago
Conference championships: New England @ Kansas City: New England Chicago @ New Orleans: New Orleans
Super Bowl LIII: New England vs. New Orleans: New England
The Patriots' window may be drawing to a close, but they'll win this Super Bowl (their last in the Belichick/Brady era) due to experience. Sure, they had a bad loss this week, but the two teams I believe they'll play on their way to the Super Bowl are teams they've already beaten this year. The Saints are good, but New England almost always finds a way (unless they're playing against the NFC East.)
*picks are subject to change. I'll make my real playoff predictions before the playoffs begin.

Lets see what Aaron Rodgers' girlfriend has to say about the Bears winning the division and eliminating the Packers from playoff contention:

If the team with the higher win percentage wins for the next 2 weeks (and the home team wins when teams have equal winning percentages), here's how the playoff picture will look:
AFC: 1: Kansas City (13-3) 2: Houston (12-4) 3: New England (11-5) 4: Pittsburgh (9-6-1) 5: Los Angeles (13-3) 6: Tennessee (10-6)
NFC: 1: New Orleans (14-2) 2: Los Angeles (13-3) 3: Chicago (12-4) 4: Dallas (10-6) 5: Seattle (9-7) 6: Minnesota (8-7-1)

Here's to hoping this is finally the year where someone actually beats the Patriots in the AFC playoffs. I'm a little worried because my gut feeling is telling me that the Patriots are going to go on a run and beat the Rams in the Super Bowl.

I'm a little worried because my gut feeling is telling me that the Patriots are going to go on a run and beat the Rams in the Super Bowl. I don't know that it will necessarily be the Rams. I haven't been real impressed by what I've seen out of LA or New Orleans recently. Honestly, the Bears look like the team to beat in the NFC right now, at least to me, because the Cowboys are trash and the Seahawks stumbled last week.

I have a bad feeling that the Eagles are going to go on a run at the right time again. The Rams and Saints are probably still the teams to beat though since they’ll have the byes. Also it would be hilarious if the Patriots win it this year with how much better the competition is (particularly in the AFC). I still think they have one more run in them but it won’t be this year, they’ll lose to the Chiefs or Texans in the AFC championship.

On another note, what does DeShaun Watson have to do to get some damn recognition? Before his rookie season it was "he'll be a bust, he won't adapt to the NFL." Then it was what he did last year before getting hurt was "unsustainable" and he'll never be the same player again after his injury. Now he has the Texans at 10-4 and should be a top five MVP candidate and I don't hear anything about him.

Man, Black Monday is in full swing. 8 coaches have already been fired, and we may not even be done yet. That's 1/4 of all coaches in the NFL.

Discussion over on the Discord got me thinking: what if none of the current NFL teams had ever moved? Obviously some of the expansion teams would've been placed in different areas, but here's what the league would look like if no team had ever changed their name, moved, or switched conferences (I switched the divisions around to have 4 in each, but each team is with their original conference/league - it worked out with 16 and 16.)
AFC East: Boston (New England) Patriots Buffalo Bills Miami Dolphins New York Titans (Jets)
AFC North: Baltimore Ravens Cincinnati Bengals Cleveland (Los Angeles) Rams Dallas Texans (Kansas City Chiefs)
AFC South: Houston Oilers (Tennessee Titans) Houston Texans Jacksonville Jaguars Tampa Bay Buccaneers
AFC West: Denver Broncos Los Angeles Chargers Oakland Raiders Seattle Seahawks
NFC East: Boston Braves (Washington Redskins) Dallas Cowboys New York Giants Philadelphia Eagles
NFC North: Cleveland Browns Decatur Staleys (Chicago Bears) Pittsburgh Pirates (Steelers) Portsmouth Spartans (Detroit Lions)
NFC South: Atlanta Falcons Baltimore (Indianapolis) Colts Carolina Panthers New Orleans Saints
NFC West: Chicago (Arizona) Cardinals Green Bay Packers Minnesota Vikings San Francisco 49ers
