I don't like Gibbs, but I guess I'll be cheering for one of their drivers next season. I'm not anticipating the success he had at FRR, but he should be able to win a race or two for the next couple years. He's going to start declining with age soon, though, as he's almost 40. I wonder who the sponsor will be on the 19? Probably a combination of Bass Pro, Auto-Owners, and then maybe Arris & Stanley.

Kurt also has a 30 minute press conference scheduled after that.

It's about time. An illegal car should never be able to keep its result. They should be disqualified (regardless of finishing position), receive no points and no prize money.

Also, this could potentially make it easier for schedule changes to happen:

That’s what a lot of people are saying on reddit. NASCAR could make changes to the schedule before the current deal expires.

That would be awesome! I just hope they listen to the fans.

Whitt's one of the best drivers to never record a Cup top-10 and one of the best to never win in NASCAR. Over a 9-year career between MENCS, NXS, NCWTS & NKNPSE, Whitt had 252 starts, 0 wins, 12 top 5s, 36 top 10s, 3 poles, 198 laps led, 38 DNFs, 85 LLFs & 8 DNQs.
His best Cup points finish was 31st, in both 2014 & 2015. His highest race finish was 11th, in the 2016 Coke Zero 400 at Daytona. His best Xfinity points finish was 7th in 2012. His highest race finish was 4th, three times (Daytona 1, Talladega & Michigan, 2012). His best Truck points finish was 9th in 2011. His highest race finish was 2nd, in the 2011 Lucas Oil 200 at Dover. His best K&N points finish was 4th in 2010. His highest race finish was 2nd, three times (South Boston, Lime Rock & Jefferson, 2010).
I have been a supporter of his since 2011, and I'll miss seeing him out there. I hope he enjoys time with his family, and I wish him luck in all his future endeavors.
